My IC Recorder "ICD-BX112 will not leave the "HOLD" position.

Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.
The 'hold' switch or 'lock' switch may be stuck. Or, the switch may have gotten dirt into it and be insensitive. Try switching the Hold (or Lock) switch Off, then On, then Off, then On, then Off. And see if that frees up the recorder.
If that does not, then pull out the battery/batteries. Set the switch for Hold (or Lock) to On, then Off... and leave the recorder without power or batteries, overnight. Then put the batteries back in it, and try it again. That may free up the problem, also.
