I've had the monitor for about 2 years. Problem started about 3 weeks ago
The screen flickers no matter what I do, but only for about 3-4 minutes and then it is perfect until I switch it off and start up again
Thank you Bruce. This is a common problem in this particular monitor, as well as all Samsung flat screens, and it's not something that can be corrected with any adjustments.
The capacitors on the Power Supply/Inverter Board of the monitor are going out of spec. When the set first fires up cold, the screen will have this problem and once they warm up it goes away. The issue is that when they drift further out of spec, the problem will get worse, and the screen will take longer to correct itself. Eventually the flickering will not go away, and the set will fail to power up.
The solution is to replace the power supply board which contains these faulty caps and will fix the problem. This is an easy fix and will take you no longer than 20 minutes with nothing more than a screwdriver. The link below is to the power supply board for this monitor:
