Customer Question

I had a power outage several months ago, and my Philips digital picture frame will not now "come back on" I have unpluged and repluged and nothing!

What can I do to get it working again? Or is it no longer useful, because of a power surge?

Thanks!

Please tell me whether, at the time of the power outage, the Phillips digital picture frame was plugged into the wall outlet, or was it powered through a surge protector?

It was plugged into the wall outlet!

That was probably a mistake. (Having the picture frame plugged directly into the wall.)

For example: last night I had a power failure of the odd type where power switches on and off and on and off again. I feared that my networking boxes might have been damaged - but in the morning, they have proved A-OK. They were plugged into a surge protector, you see.

So I'm afraid your picture frame has basically been blown out by both the power variation and having no surge protection on its power source. It seems to be the reasonable conclusion in this case.

(Double-checking all connections to - and of - its power source, is of course the last thing to do before consigning it to the recyclers.)
