With my TC-P58VT25 TV, is there a way that I can link it with a wifi headphone base docking station that has RCA inputs. Have tried the TV's optical out port with a optical cable that has a 3.5mm to RCA cable lead on the other end, but no sound output. Is there a way to route the audio out of the TV to my receiver unit?

"a optical cable that has a 3.5mm to RCA cable lead on the other end" Please explain what this is? Where you got it? Model number of this?
Optical cable with a 3.5 mm male outlet on the other end that I attached to a RCA cable that has a 3.5 mm female outlet on the other end. and then inserted the red and white RCA male leads into the wifi base unit. Got the cables from Best Buy and Radio Shack. Don't have, don't need model #s of cables. If you don't know what a RCA cable is, I don't think you are the one for this task.
Just a cable will not work. All that is doing is passing the digital signal and changing the physical connector. You need a powered Optical Digital to Analog Converter Box. Can you buy a optical cable with one output and two inputs. This would allow me to use wifi headphones and still send audio to my receiver from the optical out on the back of the TV.
I would have to research that and get back to you
