Thanks for the helpful info. When you mentioned looking at other GPS units before purchasing the Magellan RoadMate 1700, what should I be looking for? It can be very confusing in a store to decide if the sales people are making more profit on one unit over another, or are sincerely XXXXX XXXXX help. Basically, I need to know if I'm likely to do any better than the Magellan, all things considered, at just below $200? In short, not being a tech expert, obviously, I want to make this process as simple as possible, which is why I contacted you. Thanks again.
Hi, Yes, you need to be aware that the store personnel will almost always try to stear you to what they need to "push" so to speak, so be leary.I appologize for confusing you.You really should just find the place with the lowest cost for model Magellan GPS that you want.Magellan is in my opinion the best out there. I like it because of ease of use reliability and I like the way the screen is set up even in the default mode. Easy to understand and read.Even when you set things like gas stations, tolls, hospitals etcI hope this helps clarify for you.But I will be here to answer as much as I can for you.Thats my job!Have a great day.Tech MichaelPlease dont forget to leave some positive feedback thats really appreciated!!!
