Purchased a new HP Officejet Pro 8600 wireless printer. Hooked it up directly to my pc computer and not using wireless option at this time. My wife has a lap top with a modom to my computer. She has access to internet through my computer. How do I get her laptop to connect to my new printer. It was connected to my old HP printer. I have windows and a Dell computer. XXXXX XXXXX

Step 9. Options I had were: Microsoft windows network, MS Home, Jan, Workgroup.
Above that it said select one and then had a space for Printer___________. I put in HP Officejet Pro 8600 for each of my options. Card came up with red X and stated that windows cannot connect to the printer-could be lost to server or wrong name.
Printer information: Status=Doc waiting.
