I have Sony e-reader prs-350 When I plug it in to the computer it starts to charge then saids charging stop no power and I can not down load booksto it.

Are you charging the reader from the computer?
And do you have a wall charger as well that you can use?

Yes and it will charge with that but usually it proms the computer so I can down load books to it.

Ok, Disconnect the charge cable from the computer and reboot the computer.
Also you should remove the batteries from the reader, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds then release it. Wait 5 minutes then replace the batteries, reboot the computer and turn on the reader.
Then when everything is up and running try to charge the reader from the computer.
If this works Great!
Please let me know this usually solves the issue, but if not please let me know as there are other things that can cause this.

+Well looking for how to take out the battery (not a easy task ) found reset button. Pushed and now works fine

Hi then you wont need to remove the battery
