May try to reset the system;
Remove any disc from the unit and close the disc
tray. See that "NO DISC" is displayed on the display
window
2) Press and hold STOP button for five seconds then
release it. The video output will be restored to the
standard setting, and may then retry to play a disc.
If still not responding can try to run an optic cleaning disc to ensure a good reading of the loaded disc.
Otherwise if do not hear the disc spinning can have an issue with the spindle motor, or if just spins without loading, then have a failure of the optic sensor circuit and will require repair or replacement of the unit.
after trying all that when you put the dvd in it says reading for a while then open the tray
Hi Terry if have reset and disc spins for bit and then eject, the player is not recognizing the disc as having valid information, This can be do to an improper disc format / type or an error in the dvd decoding logic. Since have tried different disc without success, it points to the later which is an internal reading issue.
