code for bose cinemate 2 using GE universal remote
Optional Information: Make: GE Model: 24930 Already Tried: codes listed in manual
Hi and welcome to Just Answer. I'm Steve, I'm sorry to hear about your issue. I will try my best to give you a precise and accurate answer.
The Bose uses radio frequency remote technology. The GE is an infra-red (IR) technology remote because 99.9% of audio/visual components ever sold use IR. Just not your Bose.
The workaround is to purchase a Universal remote that has IR and RF capabilities. Here is one: http://www.amazon.com/MasterControl-RF10-Universal-Learning-Capability/dp/B000FL5OIW
That will control about everything.
I'll be here if you need more help. I want you to be 100% satisfied with my answer.

That answer does not help me solve my current problem. I am in the Outer Banks, NC on vacation and will not be able to get another style remote before I leave at the end of the week. It helps me that I won't try any other remotes that I can get locally.
It does not help you solve your current problem. I understand that.
Have a great day.
