Hello, I purchase an LG HBS-700 with a sku of HBX700Q, so I cant return it to place I purchased it, very odd. The problem I am having is the HBS-700 drops its bluetooth connection to my HTC 3D device then a moment later reconnects. This happens several times on a 30 minute conversation.Any solution short of returning the device to the store I purchased it or getting a new phone?
Hello I am Richard and I would like to help you with your query regarding your Bluetooth headset.Firstly, i need to get more information from you in order to assess if a possible solution can be given to you.Could you let me know if this situation happens always and no matter where you are? The reason I ask is that Bluetooth connection will sometimes drop if you are near a wireless router or where there is heavy wi-fi traffic but this will only happen occasionally.Where is the phone when you are using hands free connection?Does the connection drop when you are listening to music as well as in conversation? If you could let me know this information I might be able to work out why you are facing this problem. Many thanksRichard
Ah! I am normally sitting about 2' from one wireless router and 3' from another wireless router. I will have to pay more attention when I am outside. Normally the phone is sitting on the desk when this happens.
I do remember it dropping connectivity while in the car but I still have a wifi device in my car. I wouldnt call it heavy traffic though, but it is so I can talk on the cell and look up needed information, i.e. navigation.
Lets leave this open until Friday. I have a trip to Houston and San Antonio, I will observe it then also.
Thanks Richard,
Guy
Hi Guy.No problem..... both your devices have quite a good version of BT (one version 2.1 and the other is version 3.0 which is latest) and both have what is known as Adaptive Frequency Hopping AFH however not even this technology can guarantee to hold the signal against Wini and drop outs do occur. However these devices will offer the fastest reconnection you can get.Anyway, please by all means give this further testing and get back to me when you are readyBest regardsRichard
Hi Guy.How did it all go? I noticed that your question has timed out......did you manage to resolve your problem or is it still in place? If my suggestion helped you, please could you click on 'accept' as I will not be paid by JA unless this is done.Best regardsRichard
