I was speaking with a techician on line, and when I was trying to get static on the radio as requested by the representative, we got cut off. I called back and waited ten minutes and gave up. My TV probem is that it I get no picture, just a "2.2" int the upper right hand corner and a" no signal" message. SN and model #s are LC220SS2 & TH1A1123129679. I can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Karen XXXXXXX...me email XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX Thanks.

Hi and welcome to justanswer.I`m going to help you with your tv but first i will have a few questions;
Are you connected with a cable box/receiver,satellite receiver, digital converter etc ?Or directly to cable or antenna ?
I will be in standby, just send me a reply ,and i will be notified and be with you ASAP.
cable box
O.k then try to press the SOURCE button repetedly on the tv`s remote.
I'm not in the same room,
No problem, i can wait
I tried it, nothing happens
Do you get to see the input menu ?
When you press SOURCE do you see a list on the different inputs ?
I see nothing
No action on the screen or nothing ?
Nothing...I previously on saw a 2.2 in the upper right corner and a blue rectangle in the middle that said "no signal"
Are you using the tv`s remote ?
not the cable remote
To access, I have awas had to use the TV remote to turn on, then the verizon remote to get channels.
oops, that's always
o.k then go directly to the tv and there is a SOURCE button on it, press it repeatedly to see if it will connect to the cable box
are you still there?
yes
did you see what i wrote above ?
yes, i pressed it 12 times...nothing.
there is nothing appearing on the tv screen ?
did you press it directly on the tv buttons ?
nothing, previously it had 2.2 in the upper left hand corner and a rectangle in the middlle that said no signal...no i get nothing
o.k then unplug the tv`s power cord for 30 secs or so and try it again
oops right hand corner
nothing!
Does the tv power on ?
Can you see the tv menu ?
just a little red light on the frame - nothing on the sreen
If you press the menu button , can you see something ?\
That is the menu on the tv`s remote
nothing and a tried it with both the syvania and the verzon remote
Well then i believe your tv`s main board has gone defective i`m afraid
Can you give me a minute ?
So will it be less expensive to replace it or buy a new tv?
The main board in this model cost around $70 , and then you would have to replace it , not exactly an easy job i`m afraid.Having it replaced could cost around $80 , so you would be looking at a repair of approx $150
For a 22" model , lets say that if you had your eyes on a new model then this could be a good time
Well, it seems more prudent to get a new one.
lets say that if you had your eyes on a new model then this could be a good time
Yes i agree about being prudent as they also have inverter problems (different circuit)
I hadn't planned on a new one, but it sees sensible. About how much are tvs costing these days?
Depending on the size you are looking for ?
32 " will go for approx. $300
or less
about the same size as the one I have, ..diagonally the screen is 21.5"
o.k then you can get a new one for around $200 and less
LG and Samsung nowaday seem to be the better bang for the buck if you will
Guess it's off to Radio Shack tomorrow....thank God I still have my 15 yr old RCA tv in the living room.
Good ol RCA :)
Try best buy and walmart for good deals
Thanks for the guidance! Have a great week, or whatever is left of it!
