Resolved Question:

I have an Asus K52F laptop that keeps shutting down on me every time I watch a video. Before it shuts down, it slows down and freezes up. Before this happened, it used to make a loud humming noise. What's wrong with it?

Hello! My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am happy to be working with you today. Let's see if we can get your problem resolved!

This is most likely either an issue with a codec, or video driver. Let's explore the codec solution first. CLICK HERE to download K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. Once installed, restart the computer and try the video again. Let me know if it doesn't work.

What exactly does K-Lite Mega Codec Pack do?
Expert:  Thomas replied 4 years ago.
Windows supports certain video files natively, but not all. Your video could be conflicting with codec support. K lite just makes windows compatible with more video and audio codecs. Did it work?

Does it work with online videos or just disc videos?
