Hi my name isXXXXX this is caused by a power surge and you will need to RAM clear it and reprogram it. To RAM clear it, turn the key to reg then remove at least one battery. Now unplug it and count to 10, plug it back in, and reinstall the battery. Now use your manual to reprogram it (i.e. date, time, taxes, etc).

Sorry, I had the wrong part number. You actually need to go to page 9 of 116 (7 actual page number) on this pdf document and try the initializing the cash register section. That should clear up the freeze. Go to this link for the pdf file.
