I have a Vizio (vsb210ws) sound bar. Im getting an error

Resolved Question:

I have a Vizio (vsb210ws) sound bar. I'm getting an error code (D) Thermal shutdown occurred. I have unplugged the sound bar and made sure that the ventilation slots are clear. It continues to fade in and out with sound and with error code (D). What should I do now?

I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having with your Vizio.

 

If the unit has been unplugged for at least 15 minutes, to allow it to cool and the ventilation slots are clear, then this indicates the output IC of the soundbar is faulty.

 

This directly drives the speakers and is prone to heat damage. The Bar itself needs service to have this chip replaced by a Sony Service Center.
