Hi there and thank you for using Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I'd be happy to try and assist you with your issue. Unfortunately there is only a few things to do here assuming you know the CDs you are using are store grade, studio produced CDs. Bose systems sometimes have an issue reading dual layer discs and other cheaper burned discs. Assuming these are quality working discs then your options are to unplug the unit for 2 minutes from the electrical outlet and this will force a reset. Otherwise, your laser could be misaligned or just dirty. Before you try cleaning it with any home remedies please try the reboot. If this does not work please call Bose Product Support at(NNN) NNN-NNNN I believe they will charge you a flat rate repair fee of $99. Also, ask them if they have any free software upgrade kits for your unit. Many times they have newer software updates. Although your issues seems to be happening with all discs as you mentioned. I tried the reboot. Put in a few different store bought CDs and it still says not playable to all of them.

What do you suggest I try to clean it or should I just call Bose Product Support?

If that did not work then your laser is most likely out of date, misaligned, or just dirty. The software fix is most likely the next logical step Bose will ask you to take if there is an upgrade. I believe Bose does not suggest you clean your laser unless under the direction of their technical support. If done incorrectly you can damage optical reader. Start with Bose and they should set you up with what you need. Boss support is truly fantastic. I have many Bose products too and I am a loyal customer because their service runs so well.
