My picture tube went out, is my tv dead, is it worth repairing

Customer Question

My picture tube went out, is my tv dead, is it worth repairing? The power light comes on when the set is turned on, then I hear a series of clicking sounds like the set is searching for…something. We have loved the tv and would like to keep it, only if it is cheaper to repair than buy a new one of course.

Hi,

First of all welcome to Justanswer. My name is Pramit. Before I start, have you tried unplugging the TV for 4-5 hours? When you turn the TV on, what is the color of the power LED?

Regards.

The 4-5 hour unplug did not work. Power light that comes on is still green and I still hear a clicking sound.
