I just purchased two replacement phones GE model 28110 DECT

Customer Question

I just purchased two replacement phones GE model 28110 DECT 6.0. Both units have been in their cradles for 24 hours now. Both units display only a few black dots where words should be. Looks like a partially erased Etch-A-Sketch. Any suggestions?

Reset the controllers:
  • Remove the battery cover from one of the handsets.
  • Disconnect the battery from the handset.
  • Repeat with the other handset.
  • ----- Wait 20 minutes. -----
  • Re-connect the batteries.

That did not work. I tried it twice.

After that, I tried a fully charged battery from another phone. That didn't work either.

  • It sounds like it is defective.
  • Double check the ac adapter is the correct one used by the good phone.

I have spoken with the manufacturer, Thomson Inc. They told me the phones are not repairable from here and recommended I return them to the store.

Thanks anyway
