My phone is not working. It says check tel. line. What should I do?

  • If this is a multi-line corded phone it will say check tel. line if the battery is low.

If this is a cordless phone, reset the controllers:

  • Unplug the main base power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove the battery from the handset.

  • Remove, inspect (gold-plated contacts/wires should be shiny) and re-connect the telephone cord from the wall jack.
  • Remove, inspect (gold-plated contacts/wires should be shiny) and re-connect the telephone cord from the base jack.

-----

  • Wait 20 minutes.
  • Connect the battery in the handset.
  • Place the handset on the main base.
  • Connect the power to the main base.
