my samsung er 5100 cash register is frozen - none of the buttons

my samsung er 5100 cash register is frozen - none of the buttons work.

The power works. I unplugged the cash register, plugged it back in - still, none of the buttons work.

No error codes appear in the display.

Have you tried to clear the memory?

 

Can you make the mode switch go to "service mode" position, you may need the manager key for this

no, i haven't tried to clear the memory. My key can put the register in "program" mode, but i don't have a key to put it in service mode.

Turned the cash register on this morning - now it has a steady beep sound and shows an error E1

You do need the C key I'm afraid this is to get it to go into service mode

 

I am still awaiting an email to see if their is another way to do it but as it stands the master key or C key is what is required

 

The machines software has gone glitchy in all probability so anything can happen including additional errors
