We have a Bose Cinemate and the interface cable 285396-001 28/08 and it does not have the optical port in the back.(like the ones they show online and in the stores now) My father was told he could hook up the new CD player into the sytem with the optical cable. But when we came home, we discovered there is no optical port. Can we order/purchase an interface cable that supports the optical?
Optional Information: Make: BoseModel: Cinemate Already Tried: I have visited the BestBuy store where we purchased the TV, Bose System and CD player. They didn't have the part, they suggested we contact Bose and see if this is part could be replaced with the interface cable that supports the optical.
Here is an Optical to RCA converter you can use to connect the CD player into, and have it connect via analogue to the Bose Interface.
