The unit is in "protect" mode thats why you are getting blinking standby light . This means that there is a problem in the final output section. The most common fault is bad output transistors. Expect a parts cost of abput $15-$30 in parts plus the local labor rate for a repair cost.

first you will ahve to restore the prtective circuit, as its protecting the other important circuits.

Thanks

What is involved with restoring the protective circuit??
Expert:  sany replied 7 years ago.
protective circuit is nothing but a circuit which protects the other main parts of the Circuit.
If some problem in the main circuit , will be handled by the protective circuit.
IF something got screwed in the main board then the TV swap the mode to protective or Stand by.

in this state , the main circuit will be safe from further damages.

First you will ahve to check the possibe damage to the trasnsitos/capacitos/resistors.

once you corrected the problem , mode will be chenged to normal and you can see the video.

its better to call a proffessional to get this done.

while doing that, check the protective circuit also , because it got screwed means evrything will be damaged soon or later.

Thanks
