Can I retrieve a deleted message from a phone answering machine?

Resolved Question:

The phone is made by Uniden, the Power Max 5.8 GHz.
We have had the phone about 2 1/2 years.
The message machine was full and my husband accidentally
erased the first 5-6 messages on the machine. These were
messages we did not want to erase.
There are now 5 messages left on the machine. No calls have been
received since this happened. I am going to make sure no new
messages are recorded on the phone until I hear from you.

Hello Customer,

Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer. There is no piratical way to recover the calls once they have been deleted. Someplace like a FBI crime lab might be able to recover some of the information but there are no shops that a consumer can go to that can or will recover this data. Sorry I did not have better news for you. I have done extensive research for other customers on this exact subject.

Where are the messages in a phone message machine once the delete button has been pushed? It is not so old a machine that you hear the tape being erased.

Is there a SIM card in the machine?

Expert:  Edward replied 8 years ago.

The digital messages are removed from the digital memory in the phone when deleted. There is no sims card that has the messages on them. The card is not removable and there is no piratical way for a consumer to have this information recovered. I had a customer that really wanted their message from a deceased love one. Price was no object. I spent at lease 8 hours calling and never found a shop that could or would recover the message.
