how do hook up my cable box , dvd player to my proscan lcd flat screen tv. i can easily hook up one or thr other but not both

OK. Your proscan will have several types of connection. You need to use the available connections on the back of the TV.

Please give me the model number of you TV, DVD and cable box. Actual model numbers please.

Then I will show you how to hook it up. You may have to buy some cables.

my cable box is scientific altlanta model explorer 2100 fom time warner cable ny

my dvd is a cyberhome ch-dvd 3100 progressive scan video

my proscan tv is a 20 in lcd model 20LA11Q

OK. You need a composite cable to hook up the cable box.

Or you can just use a normal coax antenna wire.

The DVD player can use a composite cable also.

You should have all these connections on the back of the TV.

ok if i use the composite cables to hook up the cable box i have cable tv and no way to hook up the dvd player if i use those same cables for the dvd i have no cable tv.... so now what do i do

Do you only have one set of composite inputs on your TV? Most have at least two.

If you only have one, you could use an SVideo cable,

there is no svideo slot on the tv. thanks for trying i'll just put the dvd player on another set thanks anyway

i appreciate all your help but am at the point that i am about to throw the tv and dvd out the window. i have decided to just not have a dvd player hooked up on this set in this room. i appreciate your help and will not need any further assistance
