Hello my name is ***** ***** I will try to help you. Question do the lights flash constantly or do the eventually stop? Do you have control with any of the switches? What is the display showing?

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
Nothing stops the lights from blinking and there is no response from any button
Expert:  Ron Winston replied 24 days ago.

Have you tried to reset the unit?

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
I am unable to reset it or reboot it as none of the buttons are responsive at all
Expert:  Ron Winston replied 24 days ago.

And is the display showing anything?

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
No
Customer: replied 24 days ago.
It doesn't boot that far
Expert:  Ron Winston replied 24 days ago.

I have the reset procedure for the PC2 it should be the same.

To start, turn the unit off and back on See if the display will say "please wait" even for a short time. If it doesn't you will not be able to reset it.

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
That is correct I am not able to reset it
Expert:  Ron Winston replied 24 days ago.

OK the problem is in the computer. How log have you had the unit? Has it been moved around and maybe had an impact? Is there a chance something was spilled into it?

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
Well yes it gets moved at least once a week and nothing has been spilled on it
Expert:  Ron Winston replied 24 days ago.

How old is the unit.

Customer: replied 24 days ago.

The problem is in the computer or as Kurzweil called it the "engine board" 4 years old it is not in warranty any longer so we can't go that way. It is possible moving it around could have had a connector has come disconnected but that is not likely the problem. I do not think there is much else you can do other that take it in for service. The unit is well worth having it repaired. If you would like to do that give me your Zip code and I can find you the local Kurzweil repair center.

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
I do have a repair shop
