when i turn the headphone volume up , in channel 1, it acts as the mid knob of the channel 1 eq. What can that be? board problem?

Initially, the described symptom almost always point to an internal hardware issue. More particularly, potential suspects after a review of the repair/Service Manual are:

  • • capacitor leak (least likely);
  • • pinched wire (likely);
  • • fused trace (most likely).

All of the above would require that the unit be opened up for visual inspection, voltage/continuity/resistance checks, confirm faults and effect repairs.
