Customer Question

How do I retore my da 38 to normal operation? I'm getting an E. CLOC error message and nothing is plugged into the digital input. It happened when I pressed two buttons at the same time while setting a punch in point. Thanks

I still need help with this problem. I am getting the E. CLOC error message on my Tascam DA-38 eight track recorder. The machine will not function as long as this error message is blinking. I do not have any digital inputs plugged in. I read that removing the battery may reset the machine, however it is soldered in place and requires removal of many components to locate. There has to be an easier way. Manual on line at: http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/ELECTRONICS/AV/DA-38_manual.pdf Please Help! Frase (###) ###-####

The E CLOC error means that no clock is coming in from the source.
– When referencing external BNC word clock, check word clock cable and the word clock source. Make sure sample rates match.
– When slaved to another DTRS, check the PW88s sync cable and/or try another cable. Also make sure the master machine is not showing an ECLOC message.

Let me know if that helps?

Pete.

Are you still getting the same error? Have you tried using a different cable?
