You can connect the BK7m to your Alesis v49 midi controller using a MIDI cable:Turn the [VOLUME] knob all the way to the left to minimize the volume. Then use the MIDI cable to connect the BK-7m’s MIDI IN socket to the MIDI OUT socket of the Alesis. You can also use another MIDI cable to transmit MIDI data to an external device (e.g. sequencer, computer, sound module, etc.), by connecting the BK-7m’s MIDI OUT socket to the MIDI IN socket of that device.

There is no midi in and out on v49

It should have a MIDI OUT port?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
It only has a usb type b connection
Expert:  ITPeter replied 7 months ago.
Ok, then you will need a USB-to-MIDI cable, e.g. http://www.amazon.com/VicTsing-Cable-Converter-Keyboard-Adapter/dp/B00ACGMOA6and a Type B-to-Type A USB converter, e.g. http://www.amazon.com/Electop-Female-Print-Adapter-Converter/dp/B014RESWU4
