Customer Question

Our church has a Kawai P150 keyboard where the bottom 4 C# ***** do not produce sound and the bottom 3 F and A s do not produce sound. While I have some technical skills, I have no documentation (schematics, etc.). I also have no idea if parts are still available for this model. Any ideas on what maybe failing?

Hi Dave,

A buildup of dust and other debris below the keys can cause the electronic contacts to not make a good electrical connection.

It is also possible that something has been spilt in the area, causing the same loss of connection.

To repair this, the keyboard will need to be disassembled and the contact areas beneath the keys can then be cleaned.
