I just purchased a K2500 and replaced a broken switch

Customer Question

I just purchased a K2500 and replaced a broken switch successfully. Now however, the A key makes a clunking noise upon release. Any ideas as to what is causing this and how I might repair it? Thank you.

Hi Doug,

A clunking noise can occur if any of the plastic mountings have broken or come loose, or possibly the lead weight glued into the key has come loose.

You will need to disassemble the keyboard again and check those areas.

Happy Holidays!
