We installed several of your fans with remote controls on a project and I'm having an issue with the remote accidently turning on 2 fans. is there a way to reprogram the remote to only control one fan?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: Fans were purchased and installed in December
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: we are the contractor. My installer is quite familiar with electrical problem solving but this one has him stumped
JA: How old is the system in question? And have you consulted an electrician yet?
Customer: system is less than 30 days old
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: not that I can think of

If the remote has DIP Switches, you could change the settings on one fan. It has to be changed in the remote and on the control in the fan. The one in the fan is usually mounted in the canopy at the ceiling box.

The DIP switch settings have to match. The DIP Switch is usually in the battery compartment of the handheld remote.
