have an RV spot which has a 30 amp outlet.now i bought a new rv which needs a 50 amp outlet.can i just switch the outlets or does a 30 amp have another voltage than 50 amp

The wire size and over current protection determine the size of the circuit. You may replace the receptacle to power the RV but will trip the circuit if the load exceeds 30A. To get maximum capability you'll need to replace the entire circuit.
