How many continuous amps DC can a switch handle that is rated 15A 125VAC?

The manufacturer usually has control devices rated for both AC and DC voltages and their respective amperage ratings listed on the control device as they may not be the same. That being said amperage is a measure of electron flow and AC voltage is a noncontinuous source so AC amperage are generally higher on these ratings . Suffice it to say it's less than the 15 A VAC , but probably not less than 10 amps based on my experience. The best place to look is the manufacturer of the switch's web site for further information.
