I installed an 2 Intermatic E1210W 60 minute bath fan timers

Customer Question

I installed an 2 Intermatic E1210W 60 minute bath fan timers in a customers bath rooms. One timed out after 30-40 minutes. I have replaced it twice and each one continues to do the same thing. The one in the adjacent bath room times out the full 60 minutes. Can you give some advice?

Hi Neil,

These timers are made quite cheaply abroad and are not subjected to stringent quality checks.

Therefore their reliability varies greatly.

You can try moving the working timer to the other bathroom and prove that it works ok there also - this will help confirm that it is the timers that are at fault and not some other cause.

The faulty timers should be returned under warranty.

Pete.
