Have a 220 30 amp circuit breaker for dryer...two wires need to be connected...red and black...do the wires have a specific way of being connected?..or it doesn't matter which wire is screwed to the breaker?

If I understand you correctly, you are asking whether it matters if the black wire is on the top terminal of the double pole breaker, or if the red wire should be in that location.

If that's what you need clarification on, it doesn't matter which of the two wires connects to either terminal on the breaker. It will work the same either way.
