I have Carlon Plugin Chime, but I can't select a channel - all I see are what looks

I have Carlon Plugin Chime, but I can't
select a channel - all I see are what looks like wire hoops. I don't know what to do with them to set the cannel. Can you help? Thanks, John

The wire loops are used to control the frequency

To change the channel :
1:

1 : locate the wire hoops in both devices( button ,chime,
2: they should be already marked with letters verify the units match
3: select any letter and find in both units
4: unplug from power source

5: using nail clippers cut the hoop in the middle and separate both ends
6: do the same in both devices
Restore power
