I have a smoke alarm detector that does not stop chirping:

I have a smoke alarm detector that does not stop chirping:
1. I have replaced the battery
2. Replaced the Kidde with a new alarm
3. Switched off the power supply from the circuit breaker.
Even after all these steps, the regular chirping does not go away.

Even when the power of the house, chirping continues. Even when I remove the smoke detector the chirping goes on.

okay if you could shut off the breaker and remove the smoke alarm to get to the wires coming into the box we need to test them because it sounds as if you aren't getting power ............turn back on the breaker and see if you have current coming in

the wires coming into the back of the alarm I should say

that's the thing it chirps when there is NO power coming in ............it warns you to check the voltage and battery life
