I have a two gang switch on my landing - one gang operates

Customer Question

Hi Rich - I have a two gang switch on my landing - one gang operates the landing light, and the other operates the stairwell. They share a single live feed (a link wire joining the com terminals). I'm fitting a two way switch at the bottom of the stairs. Question - can I link the com from the landing light gang to L1 on the stairwell gang? Thank you

Hi, I'm Mike G and I'll be glad to assist you. Unfortunately no. The feed for the switches can only be in one location. Joining the second switches will only produce a malfunction.
