Hi, I'm Mike G and I'll be glad to assist you. Plug something like a lamp into a dead outlet, then with another plug go to all receptacles, dead or live and wiggle the plug side to side. In most cases it will make the lost connection touch and the lamp will light. The issue may be in another room. Try all outlets. You can isolate the circuit by turning off all breakers other than the one giving a hot reading. You'll know what is on the circuit.
