Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.

Please provide the make and model of the remote and receiver so the specs can be obtained.

It definitely is not the most common of receivers with the yellow and blue.

The fan also has odd wiring, please provide the make and model of the fan also.

Let me know and we can continue,

Thanks

Ok, thanks.

Extremely odd, the manual on the fan states different wire colors.

It shows the standard blue, black and white.

This is from the manual:

Connect the two green fan wires to the household wire . □ If you are using the optional light kit, connect the blue fan wire and the black fan wire to the black household wire . □ Connect the white fan wire to the white household wire . □ Spread the wires apart so that the green and white wires are on the side of the outlet box and the black wire is on the other side

It only takes 3 wires for the fan to work, so not sure what is going on here. There is no uplight shown on the fans manual

Can you post a picture of the wires coming out of the top of the fan at the ceiling for review?

the wires coming out of fan unit is blue, brown, gray, white,

Ok,

It makes no sense how the manual can be off so badly.

And why you have the 4th wire that is not needed.

How is it connected now? The wires from the ceiling had to be connected prior to now, so how were they connected using the wall control that came with the fan?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
there was no wall control , the fan is remote control only no light. just 3 speeds. that is the way it was bought. just wired to 120 volt. and it worked from the remote that came with fan.

Ok,

Going to have to do some trials here, since the wiring does not match the fans manual and installation instructions.

Dont know if someone has made changes or what, but there is no match.

Since the fan is on a light switch, first connect the ceiling white to the fans white.

Then connect the ceilings black to each of the blue, and brown, one at a time ans see if one of them turns on the fan.

Since there is no light, we will not bother with alight connection at this time, unless you have a 2 lead voltage tester.

Let me know the results and we can move forward.
