I have a fitness center that was placed in an old metal

Customer Question

I have a fitness center that was placed in an old metal plating shop. Their is a large transformer in the rear pushing the electricity in. Initially when I entered the building the dial meter wouldn't turn. They replaced it with a electric meter and my bill has gone crazy!! The mm is 8 which seems to make the kw triple. I have clamp meters in place that show a drastic difference in the usage

Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.

Can you elaborate on the situation with more details?

It sounds like they made a change to a newer electronic style meter maybe?

You are saying that you have some clamp ammeters monitoring some of the usage?

Or all in the panel at the main?

You are seeing a usage difference on the clamp meters?

Or ?

Not sure what the total situation is , so need the added details.

Let me know and we can continue,

thanks

Okay, the clamps are in the panel. The usage is saying I use roughly 300kw per month. I have a demand meter with an 8 multiplier saying that I use about 3 - 4 thousand per month

Ok,

Still not completely following

If you have clamp meters, you can only get real time information and no total for a month

How are you coming to that conclusion?

Does the location have air conditioning?

What type of lighting do you have?
