Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.
Are the wires posted, the wire on the fixture?
Or the ceiling?
Is this a residence or condo?
Is there a cable in the ceiling box or a conduit with wires inside?
Thanks
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
In ceiling and in a box we live In town home nothing above or below us
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The fixture has black red andwhite
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sorry black white yellow
Expert:  AssuredElectrical replied 1 year ago.
Ok, thanks.
You posted white as ground and that is confusing, as white wires cannot be used for ground.
Also, they have never made pink or ivory wires in the USA.
Trying to understand if wires have faded, were painted over when the home was built or what?
Can you look at the wires and see if they go into a pipe in the box or if they are inside a plastic sheathed cable?
Was there originally a light at this location?
As much detail as possible will help.
Thanks

Yes was a light and don't go into a pipe in the box the house was built in the 70

Ok,
Can you get a picture of the wires in the ceiling box and post?
The colors do not match anything ever produced in the USA.
If it is cable wiring, it would be black, white and bare copper wires.
So, your wires are not matching and we need to find out what you actually have in order to connect the fixture properly.
Thanks
