My name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist you with your electrical question. 1) Sounds like the replacement pull chain switch is NOT identical as the original switch since different labeling? If not an identical replacement, the new switch will NOT work as there are a variety of ceiling fan pull chain switches and they come in different switching patterns.2) How was the original switch wired? What colors landed on the switch terminals?
