This answer was rated:

I am putting a sink in my laundry room. There is an ourlet near where i will put the sink. I plan om making that a GFI outlet. Does that outlet need to be on its own circuit? It is in a string of three oulets; the other two are in another room.
Welcome to Just Answer!

Just fitting the existing outlet in the bathroom with a GFCI will be fine.

If you wanted to you could fit a GFCI breaker on that entire circuit at the control panel... depending on the panel, a GFCI may or may not be available.

Let me know if you need any further elaboration, we can go from there.
