I have a breaker that runs four outlets the power goes out on just those outlets and comes back on after a few minutes but does not trip the breaker

Jason :

Hello. Welcome to Just Answer.

Jason :

There are a few things you should check in this situation...

Jason :

Make sure the neutral wire for that circuit is tight in the breaker panel.

Jason :

Then, open the outlets and check to see if the wires are connected via the small push-in holes on the back.

Jason :

If they are, I would redo the connections using the screws on the sides of the outlets.

Jason :

If you find any splices in any of the outlet boxes, check them to make sure no wires will pull out.

Customer:

ok i will try that does there need to be a ground rod grounded to the box outside I cant find one

Jason :

If this is your main panel for the house, there should be a ground rod outside.

Customer:

there is a pices og rebar sticking out of the foundation with a wire clamped to it was all i can find

Jason :

Rebar should be grounded, and it may be, if it's in contact with soil.

Customer:

ok thank you i will check every thin you said
