Electrical Repair Questions? Ask an Electrician for Answers ASAP
Hi, I'm Mike and I'll be glad to assist you. It would have been better to see the other side with the lamp. I suspect that it is a bi-pin lamp, which is removed by pushing down on it and turning it counter clockwise.
Thank you so much for your response.
Yes I agree I should have given you more pictures or details!
Unfortunately the lamp is not the same as the one you mentioned...
Here is a link to the picture of the other side.
There is no way to remove it from this side - the metal surrounding is stuck - so the only way to remove it this way would be to break it off somehow.
So from the first picture, would I have to remove the wires?
I might call an expert, it's very difficult...
But here is another picture if you can suggest something else :)Thank you.
It doesn't turn at all. It's basically stuck with super glue or something. Should I just pry it open and maybe break it, but then reapply it with more super glue? Thank you for the help anyway though.
This is the only thing I could find out about it:http://www.weico-asia.net/products04.html?act=Product&gid=25
it's a weico asia w-005
but that's only the transformer
i think the main problem is how the lamp was installed into the bathroom's mirror shelf
no idea why it's so difficult though..
I finally did it!
I put a flat based screwdriver on the side of the lamp and kept moving it until the cover finally came out! it's a halogen bulb..
thank you for all your help though :)
