Customer Question

I have a condenser that says "minimum circuit amps 16.4" and "maximum fuse amps 20". The wire connected to it is #10 Aluminum wire. Is a 25 amp breaker is acceptable by the NEC? How much over the stated rating can the breaker be?

Hi, I'm Mike and I'll be glad to assist you. Code differs to the manufacturer. If it states a maximum on the unit, you need to adhere to that. 20A breaker max.Mike G.41131.0194017708
