Can I replace a 125v 30A receptacle with 30A breaker to a 125v

Resolved Question:

Can I replace a 125v 30A receptacle with 30A breaker to a 125v 20A receptacle and not change the breaker? or do I need to change the breaker to 20A? the cables are very think, i think they are 10.

Hi, I'm Mike and I'll be glad to assist you. The 20 Amp receptacle has to be on a 20 Amp circuit by code. You'll need to change the breaker but you can use the wiring.
