I have an inline track lighting system that has only one green wire to connect to the box (no other wires) ...do I connect it to the box's black wire, white wire or both?

OK, what you have to get is either a conopy Connector or a live end connector. It will depend on how the track is installed. The connectors have the terminations for the black and white wires. The green wire is usually on the connectors and the live end has screwed terminations and the floating canopy has a fitting like a track hed for connection.http://liton.com/webcatalog/listall.asp?sid=72
