Customer Question

I am replacing my mechanical turn the dial manually fan timer with a new one. The fan does not have a light. The new timer has a Red, Black, White and Green wire. I know that Green is ground. Black is supposed to go to the "hot" wire and Red to "load". White is to neutral.

There is a only one set of wires coming into timer box with a white, black and ground. The black is hot.

Is there any what to hook up this timer without pulling wires?

Hello,

I'm sorry to deliver bed news but you can not use that timer in that box. There is no neutral there. Neutral is in the fan. Although they make a lot of timers that does not require neutral, it will be stated on the packaging " no neutral required "

Let me know if you have more questions.
