JA Electrical 101 : Good day!
JA Electrical 101 : I am interested in working on a solution to your problem. Can you provide me with any more data on the individual lights themselves? I am looking for anything with a "W" after if referring to the lamp wattage. once I know the wattage I can better calculate the required amperage and give you a good cable size. As far as transformers go, it really depends upon the fixture. More than likely, if your fixtures are listed as "12v" you will need a transformer. Looking forward to getting this worked out for you.
JACUSTOMER-3jsj1pup- :

hey watt will vary different locations

JACUSTOMER-3jsj1pup- :

watts will vary between rooms like a toilet and brighter ones for office so max wattage is 10 watts . On transformers mayby one big enough to carry all 54 of them or one at each bank of lights??

JACUSTOMER-3jsj1pup- :

Thanks for your help D.C.

JA Electrical 101 : Can you provide me with the lighting manufacturer and I will do some research into their equipment. Typically I've seen up to 300 watt transformers, but larger ones are available. Sometimes they are cost prohibitive. Having a transformer at each location (each branch) may not make sense as you would need to get your line Voltage wiring to 9 locations, but you may be able to split up the loads (4/5). Typically it's easier to route the low voltage wiring as codes vary for line and low voltage.
Customer :

No names on them the old 240v AC down light frames just standard ones that are still in use in my home for 7 years now12volt dc will fit them. Will buy 12v dc bulbs an transformers after i understand what i have to do and cost it aswell
